Our curate Rev. Catherine was ordained as a priest in St Nicholas Cathedral Newcastle. Many people from church went for her ordination service and afterwards we had a luch in our Parish Hall to celebrate. |

Springwatch
The unusual mating call of the male eider duck has been captured by a wildlife sound recordist from Northumberland for BBC Springwatch.
Chris Watson travels the world recording the voices of nature, but the eider duck can be found on his doorstep here at Amble on the north east coast.
BBC Springwatch came to Amble to record the ducks and also to visit our church to talk to Diane about St Cuthbert and his eider ducks as seen in our east window. Locally the eider ducks are known as cuddie's ducks.
To find out more click Springwatch and enjoy!

The King James Bible
As part of the celebrations to mark
400 years of the Authorised Version
(The King James Bible) it will be read
across Newcastle Diocese during Lent.
A group of us got together and read some passages from St Marks Gosple to a few suprised people in Amble.
It was a cold day to be standing out in the street but we got warm in the supermarkets.
At least it wasn't raining! |
